Om projektet:

”A long term issue involved the efficient operation of heavy haul tracks is the migration of fluidized fines from the shallow soft subgrade to the overlying ballast, i.e., mud pumping. Mud pumping phenomenon involves the development of excess pore water pressure under active cyclic loading. For that reason, this project will focus on the investigation of the excess pore water pressure generated in subgrade soils. Subgrade soil specimens will be tested with cyclic triaxial testing system. The outputs from the testing program will be employed in advanced constitutive model in numerical studies.”
